"The Average Bear Shop was named in fond memory of my grandfather, who always told me that I was 'smarter than the average bear.' He was such an influential person in my life who lived for his family, especially his grandchildren, and whom always had love, wisdom, inspiration, and strength to share with everyone around.

 

Although he has passed on now, I keep his memory alive in the many creations I make that reflect the majority of my childhood spent on my grandparents' farm surrounded by animals, nature, and my wild imagination."
